Youth D.R.A.M.A. aims to strengthen the digital resilience of young people, promote positive digital citizenship, and enhance media literacy and critical thinking. The project also aims to pilot an innovative youth work methodology that combines digital practices, participatory strategies, and theatre techniques to better support and include marginalised youth.
The project includes a combination of local, international and online activities. Youth workers will receive professional training in Portugal and at a local level to learn new digital and theatre-based methods, while young people will take part in a youth mobility in Germany, attend local workshops and engage in online activities designed to boost their digital skills and resilience. Partners will also host online webinars throughout the project and final multiplier events to share results.
As part of the project, useful free resources will be created, including a “Youth Worker Methodology Training Programme” and a ”Youth Worker Toolkit to Combat Digital Hate, Build Empathy and Digital Resilience”, alongside youth-led performance videos, digital campaigns, and this dedicated project website showcasing the project’s creative outcomes and impact.
The project aims to enhance digital resilience, social inclusion and online well-being in youth from ethnic minority backgrounds. They will develop digital awareness and skills to spot and positively respond to online biases and discrimination, while increasing social participation and empowerment to advocate for more inclusive online spaces and communities.
Partners will increase digital and intercultural skills, more responsiveness to current youth issues and an innovative, scalable youth work method.
The project will also contribute to current policies, including the Digital Education Action Plan, the European Youth Work Agenda, and the EU Strategy on Combating Hate Speech and Disinformation, as well as SDGs 4 and 10, and EU Youth goals 4 and 6.
